There’s a new way to keep your car free from most filth and dirt, this treatment does have advantages too. It’s called Auto Ceramic Treatment or Nano Ceramic treatment which is a film that covers the top coat of your car. When applied to the car in layers that are built-up to three layers or more. But, It really depends what kind of hardness the formula is and some are 9h or 12 h. This is the hardness of the film when dried, that isn’t too thick which is misunderstood. Normally a fingernail can scratch a 9h or 12h film because it is harder than the ceramic film.
Usually, these films would last from three to five years or a bit bit longer, any more is not very realistic. Paying more for expensive treatments compared to cheaper ones. It does help keep the top coat pristine but only from the usual elements like water, small rocks, and repels bird dropping better! Anyway, no need to prattle on and here are the benefits it has.
1.) The shine and luster of the top coat are preserved much longer. But. You’ll still need regular cleaning for your car.
2.) Increases the resistance of the top coat to the environment, when compared to not having it. Just remember that ceramic film adheres to the topcoat and isn’t very thick! Anything larger or harder than what indicated below will scratch it! But, will protect fine from the following that is mentioned.
a. Repels water and reduces water beading on the paint.
b. Any chemical will cause car paint to dull, due to acids and bird droppings to prevent peeling.
c. Reflects UV rays that can cause dulling of the paint.
d. Anything that is hard as fingernail will scratch it. Though bushes and softer objects will prevent scratching.
3.) The top coat repels better with a ceramic coating than without. This includes dirt, chemicals, and won’t allow them to stick on the top coat.
4.) It improves the quality of the top coat and makes it look like new. With extra work, the ceramic coating can be improved further.
Obviously applying auto ceramic treatment improves the exterior appearance and preserves the top coat longer. Choosing to DIYer or get a pro treatment will cost differently that should be taken under advisement though. But, it’s agreed that it is worth it for the improved appearance whatever is opted for. You just need to choose whether a 9h or 10h or 12h treatment that does really cost a bundle.
Just remember it really varies how long it will last and that depends on the kind of formula used. Wrapping things up and what is preferred depends on the individual with what cost they are willing to shell out.
